At more than 50 sites our facilities annually receive, sort and
reprocess over 2 million tons of waste, contaminated soil and
slag from incineration
We take responsibility for an environmentally friendly handling
of all materials, and see it as our finest duty to deliver
recycled materials of the highest quality.
Every day more than 300 technicians, engineers, biologists and
skilled laborers continue to develop the technology and quality
that allows us to transform 97% of the waste received into
recycled products such as: sand, gravel, wood and slag used in
the building and construction industry, agriculture and for
energy production. The slag from the incineration industry,
which previously was a waste product for landfill, is now
transformed into a material suitable for the foundation of
roads, buildings, expansion of seaports etc.
Reception and processing of contaminated soil, is a major part
of our core activity, and an important factor to ensure clean
drinking water for future generations. Via the latest, and most
advanced, cleaning technology; biological cleaning, thermal
cleaning and In-situ cleaning, where the treatment is done on
site, without digging, the soil can once again be a part of the
ecosystem.
Through carefully monitored processes, we make sure that the
soil that leaves our facilities fulfills all requirements – so
the cleaned soil can be reused for projects such as: landscape
modeling, motocross tracks, noise walls, and coastal
management.
For every 2 tons of waste, received at DSV Miljøs facilities,
the emission of Co2 is reduced by 1 ton.
